Are you talking of SAM in HP-UX?
Why would someone use sam to shutdown the system, when so easy in command line ?
I know how to in command line ...

And Using sam ->routine task->shutdown takes quite more time...

maybe in /var/sam/rt?
quite sure its in /var/sam somewhere...
