For bash, the only change needed is to explicitly tell the build-in echo command to interpret "\c" correctly i.e.
I love the idiosyncrasies of the echo command!

This was installed on the Linux box a few weeks back by a guy that no longer works for us. All worked fine until last week. Now when we connect its just a blank screen with no icons.

Returns the rounded value of $val to specified $precision (number of digits after the decimal point). $precision can also be negative or
