I believe that there is no concept of OK> on solaris for X86 so we can troubleshoot.. Just try one more time.. A clean fresh installation with CDE environment after formatting the D: or anything assigned to solaris.

The best option I would suggest for you would be, installing solaris X86 on top of VMware. It would be usefull for you to practice or work on both OS at the same time... Just try else, go for it..
