i changed to expr $i
i run the script like this :

bash-3.00$ set -xv
bash-3.00$ ./check_oracle_filesystem.ksh
./check_oracle_filesystem.ksh
+ ./check_oracle_filesystem.ksh
----------------------------------------

it just hung....
