I install both files samba-common-2.2.7-4 and samba-2.2.7-4 but there is not the file smb.conf.

This file its installed when you installed samba ?

or you can create it.


How can I know that my installation was succesful.

If i type lslpp -l samba I cant get any file about samba
If I choose to remove software this is what I get
