mail command not working
hi all
I am not able to send mail from unix box to my mail id. do i need to do any settings for that? when i issue this command:- mail -s "letter" <abc.txt the $ pompt goes away and the unix is on wait state. what should I do? |

There are too many free variables here to really give a good guess.
Are other users on your system able to send mail? Do you have a mail subsystem installed? Does it work? (Look for logs if you have access to them.) Can you run the mailq command? Does it show the messages? |

hi era
no one on that box is bale to send the mail. $ mailq can not chdir(/var/spool/mqueue/): Permission denied Program mode requires special privileges, e.g., root or TrustedUser. I got this when i ran mailq command. what should i do now? thanks |
