function return array
Hi all
I would like to know if there is a way to return an array for a function.
As I know function can return all the contents in an array, I want to return an array type.

I have a doubt in the way the variables inside a function are treated .
if a function is called from the main script directly, the variables inside them act as global variables.

I am trying to create a function that return an array of integer based on the char parameter pass into the function. I.e.
func_a(char * str)
{
example str is equal to "1,2,3,4"
return an array of integers of 1,2,3,4
}

Now i would like to pass the individual arrays one by one to a function and display/ do some action.
Note : I am using ksh

Not sure where the problem is. I can run the script without any issue using the following command.
. /opt/app/scripts/cdc_migration.sh
But it fails with the below error when I try it this way

public array MongoCollection::getReadPreference (void )
DESCRIPTION
PARAMETERS
This function has no parameters.
RETURN VALUES
This function returns an array describing the read preference. The array contains the values type for the string read preference mode (cor-
responding to the MongoClient constants), and tagsets containing a list of all tag set criteria. If no tag sets were specified, tagsets
will not be present in the array.
