soalris 10 sparc 64-bit

Hi all,

When i use the command ps , it throws the error like this

"ld.so.1: ps: fatal: /lib/libc.so.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32
Killed"

Some of the commands will work.say for e.g. who,cp but w will not work.

Please can anyone help me on this to solve this problem.

Regards,
Shanmuga

i understand this and it might need a knew installation to solve the problem! there seems to be a problem with a libary file... so maybe a "clean" new installation is best thing to do?

have you installed SPARC patches on a x64 system, or the other way? it's difficult so help, if we don't know what you did.... since the ld.so.1 is the runtime linker for dynamic objects, it is really often used... one idea, if a new installation is no option, perhaps you could boot from cd/dvd once again, and select upgrade...

Hi,
I dont want to install once again , since there is so many applications are running on that machine.
I need to solve that error.
adding library path , the ps command is working...
but some of the cmds are not working with perpespective to that application.

upgrade != initial install

do the commands show the same error with "ELFCLASS32"?
recent system changes?
