need advice
i am currently running windows vista home premium, i want to install unix because i just started a computer programing course, i am just wondering if i install unix will i still have vista?? how does it work? will i get a choice of which os to run on system startup??

A lot of linux ditsros, like ubuntu, allow you to install grub. grub asks you what OS you want to boot. This makes it a dual boot machine.
Another choice is cygwin. This runs a "unix" under windows. You can do stuff in cygwin, bounce back to windows, then back to cygwin. Cygwin Information and Installation |
