As the message says, use passwd to change it.

as in run "passwd" and it will prompt you for a new passwd.

However you may end up in a chicken-and-the-egg problem where you can't log in to change it.

Some installations allow you to change it as you login with telnet, but if telnet is disabled then you can't use this option.

If you have an authorized key set up you can login without a password using ssh, but if you had been doing this, you would not have seen the message you are asking about.

Else it's back to the sysadmin for your system.
