The easiest solution without shelling out for yet more proprietary windows software, might be to just archive everything. Name-mangle a tarball and nobody cares, the contents don't change. If you've got gnu tar on the AIX system then the Windows
7-zip GUI app can make archives for it. It's very nice, it's even usable from a right-click context menu.
